Welcome to your first blooging experience my little "Grasshoppers" You all may be wondering what is blogging and what will we use it for? You have much to learn my little ones, all will be revealed.
What is blogging matua?
Good question class! Blogs are defined by a series of entries posted to a single page in
reverse-chronological order. Blogs generally represent the personality of the author or reflect the purpose of the website that hosts the blog. Topics may include something that you feel very strong about, and wish to express your thoughts and views through blogging.
Researchers and educators around the world are embracing blogging as a means to break down barriers between school and home, between teachers, students and parents, as well as to help guide, reinforce, scaffold, inspire, bribe, and so forth. I know that you will enjoy blogging as this can help you in so many ways, during and out of school hours.
What will we use blooging for matua?
Another good question room 7. Blogging is only used to support and enhance our current homework programme of mathemate & the AWS activity sheets.
So what do we need to start blogging matua?
1. A computer would help
2. A reliable internet connection 56k or broadband
3. A valid email address that you check regularly (and not once a year!)
4. A high level of enthusium and interest
5. Permission from home and some guidance regarding cybersafety and Netiquette, which I will cover in class.
